Hotel Information

Aussiecon 4 accommodation options available through our booking service cover a variety of price ranges and accommodation styles. There is also a range of other nearby hotels ranging from boutique luxury hotels to backpacker hostels to bed and breakfast lodgings. The convention will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC).

Based on the excellent reviews of their performance for Aussiecon 3 in 1999, we have once again chosen Lido Events to manage the Aussiecon 4 accommodation bookings. Most accommodation agencies in Australia require prepayment, and the current Lido online reservation form assumes that process. However, in order to align with what our members normally expect, Lido will take phone bookings as credit card guarantees, or you can fax them our hotel form. (We have requested that the online form be adjusted so as not to require prepayment, but that adjustment has not yet been made.)

Our hotels:

See the Aussiecon 4 page on the Lido web site for details on all of the hotels and an online booking form (requires prepayment). The site also provides a very rough map to give you an idea of the distances from the hotels to the MCEC.

 To avoid prepayment :

For more information or to reserve a Suite for an evening group hospitality event at the Crowne Plaza, email  facilities@aussiecon4.org.au. Note that most questions about hotel bookings themselves need to be sent directly to Lido Events at conference@lido.com.au.
